Mini Open Day at Sophia Soshigaya International House

上智大学直営寮（枝川寮・祖師谷国際交流会館・アルペ国際学生寮）は、国籍、宗教、文化等、多様なバックグラウンドを持つ学生たちが暮らす教育寮です。

Sophia dormitories (Edagawa Men’s Dormitory, Soshigaya International House, and Arrupe International Residence) are educational dormitories where students from diverse backgrounds live and spend time together.

3月15日に地域の方との交流を目的としたMini Open Day ~Tea Party~を祖師谷国際交流会館で開催しました。

ボランティアの寮生にそれぞれゲームコーナーや寮内見学ツアーを担当してもらい、カフェテリアの歓談スペースではボランティア学生の出身地の飲料・菓子を用意しました。

来場者にゲーム参加のスタンプカードを配り、シールを集めた参加者にプレゼントを渡しました。

On March 15th, we held a Mini Open Day ~Tea Party~at Sophia Soshigaya International House with the aim of interacting with the local community.

Volunteer students were responsible for various game corners and dormitory tours. In the cafeteria, beverages and sweets from the volunteer students’ hometowns were provided.

Visitors were given stamp cards for participating in the games, and those who collected stickers received a gift.

近隣の児童館や小学校のお子様やご家族の皆様を中心に、50名近いご来場をいただきました。「上智の寮がここにある事は知っていたけれど、実際にどのようなところなのか興味があった」、「子どもたちが楽しめるコーナーをたくさん作っていただきありがとうございました」という感想をいただきました。

We welcomed nearly 50 visitors, mainly children and families from nearby Jidoukan and elementary schools. We received feedback such as, “I knew that Sophia’s dormitory was here, but I was curious about what it was actually like,”and “Thank you for creating many corners where the children could have fun.”

寮生にとっては、地域との相互理解やイベント運営という企画を通した寮生の成長につながる機会となりました。ご来場の皆さんに感謝いたします。

For students, it was an opportunity for growth through planning and managing the event, fostering mutual understanding with the local community. Thank you to everyone who attended.

初めての企画で始まる前は不安な点も沢山ありましたが、楽しく会を終える事ができました。今回のような企画を継続する事で、寮と地域の文化の醸成や、近隣の皆さんに親しんでいただける会館となる事を期待しています。

Although there were many concerns before starting this first event, we were able to finish it enjoyably. By continuing to hold events like this, we hope to foster the culture of the dormitory and neighborhood and make the dormitory a place that the local community can feel close to.
