⑥ 六月：歌舞伎鑑賞教室

6月20日（金）、荒川区のサンパール荒川で開催された「Discover KABUKI – 外国人のための歌舞伎鑑賞教室」に参加しました。

イベントでは、歌舞伎役者による分かりやすい解説を聞いた後、実際の演目を鑑賞。初めて歌舞伎に触れる学生も多く、伝統芸能の魅力を深く味わうことができました。

鑑賞後は、お茶と和菓子を楽しみながら意見交換と質問会を実施。
「他の学生と交流できた」「日本文化への理解が深まった」といった声が多く寄せられ、学びと交流の両方が得られる充実した時間となりました。

⑥ June: Discover KABUKI

On Friday, June 20, students attended the Discover KABUKI event hosted by the National Theatre at Sunpearl Arakawa.

The event began with a clear and engaging explanation by a Kabuki actor. Afterward, participants enjoyed watching a live Kabuki play, many for the first time.

Following the performance, students gathered for tea and traditional sweets while sharing impressions and questions.
Many commented that they were able to connect with fellow students and deepen their understanding of Japanese culture through this enriching experience.

⑦ 六月：狭山市茶摘みツアー

⑦ June: Sayama Tea Picking Tour

6月22日（日）、春学期最後のオフキャンパスイベントとして、埼玉県狭山市で茶摘みツアーを開催しました。
30名以上の参加者が早朝に集合し、宮野園さんの茶畑で、茶娘衣装での茶摘み、製茶体験、抹茶アートなど、さまざまなお茶にまつわる体験をしました。

さらに、お茶の天ぷらやソフトクリームも味わい、お茶好きにはたまらない充実した一日となりました。
参加者からは、「想像以上に盛りだくさんな体験だった」「いろんな学生と貴重な体験ができてよかった」との声が寄せられました。

On Sunday, June 22, the final off-campus event of the semester took place in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture.
Over 30 students visited the Miyanoen tea farm, where they experienced various tea-related activities including tea picking in traditional costumes, tea processing, and matcha art.

They also enjoyed tea tempura and ice cream, making it a perfect day for tea lovers.
Participants shared comments such as “It was an amazing experience more than I expected” and “It was great to learn about tea and connect with other students through this unique opportunity.”

⑧ 六月：書道展＆書道体験

⑧ June: Calligraphy Exhibition & Experience

6月25日（水）～27日（金）の3日間、SSICでは書道部とのコラボイベントを開催しました。
書道部の夏の作品展に合わせて、昼休みには「暑中見舞いを書く体験コーナー」を設置。申し込み不要のウォークイン形式で、気軽に立ち寄れる雰囲気の中、多くの学生が参加してくれました。

初めて暑中見舞いを書く方には、書道部の部員が優しく丁寧にサポート。
久しぶりに筆を持つ学生も、初挑戦の学生も、それぞれ思い思いの言葉を筆に込めて、素敵な作品を完成させていました。
完成した暑中見舞いを嬉しそうに持ち帰る姿が印象的で、書道を通じた文化体験と交流の場となりました。

From June 25 to 27, SSIC hosted a collaborative event with the university’s Calligraphy Club.
Alongside the club’s summer exhibition, a special corner was set up during lunch breaks where students could try writing shochū mimai—traditional Japanese summer greeting cards. The walk-in format made it easy for students to join spontaneously.
Students writing shochū mimai for the first time received kind support from club members.

Whether it was their first time or a long-awaited return to calligraphy, participants proudly took home their works.

The event offered a relaxed and creative atmosphere, allowing students to enjoy Japanese culture while connecting with others through art.

⑨ 七月：浴衣文化体験

⑨ July: Yukata Cultural Experience

春学期最後の学生交流イベント「浴衣文化体験」は、7月9日（水）・10日（木）に紀尾井亭で開催されました。
このイベントは、7月11日（金）に行われた「上智浴衣デー」との連携企画で、浴衣の文化理解と着付け体験を目的としています。

当日は、日本服飾文化研究会の講師方を招き、文化についての話の後、浴衣の着付けから浴衣のたたみ方を学びました。その後、お茶菓子をいただきながら講師や参加者同士で交流しました。

初めて自分で浴衣を着た参加者も多く、「3時間の長いイベントだったが、終始楽しめた」「気軽に質問できて、着付けの不安が解消された」といった声が聞かれました。
浴衣デー当日には、「教えていただいたことを思い出しながら、美しく着ることができた」との嬉しい報告もありました。

The final Student Integration Program of the spring semester was the Yukata Cultural Experience, held on July 9 and 10 at Kioi-tei.
This event was a collaboration with the Sophia Yukata Day held on July 11, and aimed to help students understand the cultural background of yukata and learn how to wear them properly.

Lecturers from the Japanese Costume Culture Research Association explained the culture of traditional Japanese clothing. Students then practiced wearing and folding yukata. After the lesson, while enjoying tea and sweets, students had the chance to interact with each other.

Many participants wore a yukata by themselves for the first time and shared feedback such as:
“I enjoyed every moment in the three hours long event.”
“I was able to ask questions freely and felt more confident about wearing a yukata.”

On Yukata Day, several students reported happily, “Thanks to the workshop, I was able to wear my yukata beautifully!”
