Part 2
Report on the Five-Day Exchange Program Between Sophia and Sogang 　　

課外活動の一環として、本学と同じカトリック大学である西江大学（韓国）を訪問し、学生同士の交流を図ることを目的とした、上智大学と西江大学の両学生による協働プログラムを2月14日～2月18日に開催しました。3日目の活動の続きからお伝えします。

3日目グループディスカッションと弘大（ホンデ）観光

We held a new exchange program between Sophia University and Sogang University from February 14 to 18 at Sogang University in Seoul. This article continues from the activities on the third day.

Group Discussion and Visit Hongdae on the Third Day

事前にアンケートできめたトピックスをグループに分かれて話合い、最終日の発表準備をしました。グループで机を囲む際に、西江大学のメンバーが、韓国のお菓子を振る舞ってくれました。細やかな心遣いを私達はとても嬉しく思いました。ディスカッションの詳細は最終日の報告で、お伝えします。

ホンデでは買い物を楽しむチームが多く、韓国と言ったら多くの人が訪れるOLIVE YOUNGで買い物をするチーム、お手頃価格で購入でいる服屋さん巡りをするチーム、お洒落なカフェに行くチーム、お土産としてお菓子を購入するチームなど各チームで西江大学の学生に案内してもらいながら楽しい時間を過ごしました。

活動終了時には、両手に購入品を持つ学生ばかりで何を買ったか何をしたかのアフタートークも楽しみました。

After dividing into small groups to discuss assigned topics, we prepared for the final day’s presentations. The Sogang students treated us to Korean snacks, and we were very touched by their hospitality. The details of the discussions will be shared in the final day’s report.

In Hongdae, many teams enjoyed shopping. Some teams shopped at OLIVE YOUNG, a popular shop in Korea, while others visited affordable clothing stores, went to stylish cafes, or bought snacks as souvenirs. Each team had a great time being guided by Sogang students.

At the end of the activities, most students were carrying purchases in both hands, and we enjoyed after-talks about what we bought and what we did.

4日目 西江大学KIM先生のレクチャー

Lecture by Professor Kim from Sogan University

Sangyong Kim先生（the Vice President for Budget and Planning of Sogang University）に90分間の講義をいただきました。
後半のディスカッションをおこなうグループ分けのくじには豪華な当たりくじが含まれていました。
最初に西江大学と上智大学のイエズス会を軸とした歴史について講義をいただき、その後、7つの質問についてグループで話し合い、発表しました。イエズス会を大学生活の中でどのような時に意識するかなど、両大学の学生同士、この地で話し合えたことはとても有意義でした。
KIM先生、素晴らしい授業をありがとうございました。

ゲーム大会～最終日前夜のパーティー

We had a 90-minute lecture from Prof. Sangyong Kim (the Vice President for Budget and Planning of Sogang University).

First, we learned the history of Sogang and Sophia University, focusing on the Jesuits. Then, we discussed seven questions in groups and presented our thoughts. It was a very meaningful experience for students from both universities to discuss how the Jesuits have influenced our university life.

Game Tournament and Pre-Final Day Party

西江大学のPJTが手配してくれたパーティー会場で、日本から持ってきたお菓子や出前をしたピザ等を囲みながら会話を楽しみました。プロジェクト4日目でもあり、会話が途絶えることがなく、どの席も大盛り上がりでした。

私が面白いと感じたのはルーム内で3カ国語（英語・日本語・韓国語）が行き交っていること。また、お互いの言語が通じない時には学生間で通訳し合っている、この光景はこのプロジェクトに参加したからこそ体験できた貴重な経験でした。ここで全員で撮った記念写真も私のお気に入りの一枚です。「次また韓国に来たら遊ぼうね」「日本でも会おうね」「また韓国に来るね」こんな言葉が溢れ、別れを惜しむ瞬間もありました。楽しい時間はあっという間、その言葉通りでした。

At the Party Venue arranged by the PJT members from Sogang University, we enjoyed conversations while sharing snacks brought from Japan and delivered pizzas. The conversations never stopped, and every table was filled with excitement.

I found it fascinating that I heard students speaking three different languages—English, Japanese, and Korean. When we couldn’t understand each other, the students tried to communicate in another language, which was a valuable experience. The group photo we took together is also one of my favorites. I overheard phrases like, “Let’s hang out again when you come to Korea,” “Let’s meet in Japan” and “I’ll come to Korea again” The enjoyable times flew by, just as the saying goes.
